This animated short called ‘Eyrie’ is created by David Wolter, Wolter was recently hired by Dreamworks. The story line is of a young boy who must learn to defend his sheep from an eagle. Once he is capable of defending himself he is given wings and freedom.

In the summer of 2006, four friends from San Diego, California set out on a mission to expose the atrocities being done to the people of Burma, more specifically, the Karen people – one of the country’s largest ethnic groups. Burma has quietly been host to the world’s longest running civil war – waged between the country’s military dictatorship and detractors from the regime.

“Disconnected” is a mini-Lord of the Flies for a society ever dependent on technology for survival and communication. It is also, in a sense, a remake of the children’s story “The Boy Who Cried Wolf” from the villager’s perspective. It’s a high-concept film that shouldn’t be able to be made on less than someone would spend on a cellphone every month.
