The day that my god died is the story of young girls whose lives have been shattered by the child sex trade. They describe the day they were abducted from their village and sold into sexual servitude. The film provides actual footage from the brothels of Bombay, known even to tourists as “The Cages,” captured with spy cameras. It weaves the stories of girls, and their stolen hopes and dreams, into an unforgettable examination of the growing plague of child sex slavery. Some of the girls were sold at the age of seven and beaten up severely, stabbed, raped, drugged and even murdered.

Inbreeding canines in the hopes of resultant physical characteristics manifests itself in sick and suffering breeds. This programme generated much criticism of the Kennel Club. It also caused various sponsors and trade exhibitors including Pedigree, Hill’s, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and UK’s largest dog welfare charity Dogs Trust to withdraw their participation from Crufts and other Kennel Club events. The BBC withdrew its coverage of Crufts for 2009, and chose not to renew it for 2010.
