Professor Zachary Lockman is chair of the Department of Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies at New York University. He is author of Comrades & Enemies: Arab & Jewish Workers In Palestine, 1906-1948 and Contending Visions Of The Middle East: The History & Politics Of Orientalism.
